So you are thinking about getting a bike fit?

First off, thank you for considering Cyclologic as your bike fit solution. We appreciate the chance to earn your business, and look forward to working with you. Below are the five most common reasons that people get bike fits, and a few details about how we can help with each one.

As always, feel free to contact us at any time.

REASON #1: YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT BUYING A NEW BIKE.

(and don't want to make an expensive mistake!)

One of our least favorite things to do here at Cyclologic is having to tell a rider that they bought the wrong size bike. Unfortunately, it happens all too frequently. If you are thinking about buying a new bike anytime soon, please consider trying our "FIT FIRST" process before you invest in your new equipment. We can help you find the bike of your dreams and let you know what it will feel like before you lay down your hard earned dollars.

Getting your FIT FIRST will also let you know how much your new bike will actually cost you. The floor price of a bike is one thing, but what if you need a different stem, saddle, handlebar, pedal system or crank length? Wouldn't it be nice to know exactly what you need? The Cyclologic FIT FIRST program will not only let you know which bikes will work best, but what length and angle of stem, type of seatpost, shape of saddle, and width of handlebar you need to make it perfect.

It doesn't matter to us what brand you are interested in, or where you buy your bike. We want your relationship with your local shop to be as strong as ever, and we would love to help you work with them to make sure all of the details are perfect, from the very first ride! REASON #2: YOU ARE INJURED OR UNCOMFORTABLE

(and are sick and tired of it!)

Many people assume that riding a bike is supposed to be uncomfortable all the time… It’s not.

Many riders assume that their bike seat is supposed to hurt… Again, it doesn’t have to.

The same goes for achy backs, numb hands and sore feet. In almost all instances, issues like this are not only avoidable, but completely fixable!

The first hour of a cycling analysis session at Cyclologic is spent figuring out who you are. We teamed up with a medical partner to create a physical evaluation protocol that helps us fine tune not only your position on the bike, but all of the contact points as well. Using gebioMized saddle pressure technology, we can accurately identify the causes of saddle discomfort, and help make your time in the saddle more enjoyable.

If it is not just discomfort you are dealing with, but an actual significant injury, we also offer an advanced medical evaluation as part of our premier service, the Cyclologic Medical Fit. The professionals at Endurance Rehab will investigate what is driving your injury, and set you up with an exercise program to help ensure that the injury doesn’t come back. In the fit studio, we use the information that they discover to accommodate your existing injury, and then to later optimize your position when you are fully recovered.

REASON #3: YOU SIGNED UP FOR AN IRONMAN.

(and you want to run faster off the bike!)

As cool as all of the bike technology is in triathlon, when it comes down to it, Ironman is about the run. Our job as bike fitters is less about turning you into a bullet on the bike, than it is making you as efficient and comfortable as possible so that you are set up for a successful run.

During your fit session we will address issues and questions like:

  • Can you stay in aero for the vast majority of the ride? Including while climbing?

  • Are all of your nutrition needs set up ergonomically and easily accessible?

  • Are your pedaling mechanics and cleat position optimized to preserve muscle glycogen in your running muscles?

  • Is your helmet a proper match with your posture, and will it ventilate well enough on race day to keep you cool?

We have decades of experience with world champions and first timers alike. We have done the research, and have the tools, protocols, and equipment needed to help you conquer long course triathlon.

Once your fit is established, and you have adapted to your new position, we also offer BioRacer technology to further sharpen your advantage. This amazing technology allows us to fine tune your frontal plane, while giving you real time feedback on watts saved and speed gained. As you pedal and practice your position, you will see how different types of postures affect your speed and stability.

This is the same technology that is being used by World Champions and Olympic gold medalists to fine tune their winning form, and it is now available for you to use as well!

We are also a BioRacer speed suit dealer, and can set you up with the fastest and most comfortable race suit available.

REASON #4: YOU ARE TIRED OF GETTING DROPPED BY YOUR BUDDIES.

(There is no "and" to this one. We all just hate being dropped by our buddies!)

Tired of struggling up hills while your training partners ride away? Find yourself being left behind on fast descents? Sometimes, it means you are simply training with people who are currently in better shape than you are. That can be a good thing. Riding with people who are faster than you can make you faster as well. But what if it is not just that they are faster? What if there is something about your position that is holding you back?

The Cyclologic Cycling Analysis Protocol hones in on power leaks, and eliminates them from your position. Handlebar width, crank length, foot-pedal interface, saddle position, and saddle type are all areas where a significant amount of power can be lost. We are talking about power you already own! Power you have already worked hard for! Power that isn't reaching the back wheel because it is fluttering away in your pedal stroke. Want free speed? Let's make sure that you are getting the most out of what you already have!

REASON #5: IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN TWO YEARS SINCE YOUR LAST FIT

Things change. Your fitness, your goals, your equipment... They all change. As they do, your position on the bike needs to be adapted to your new reality. Bike fit is very much like a haircut. It has to be maintained, or things can get out of control! We see most of our clients three to four times a year. Once for a three hour session where we perform a full physical assessment, and two to three additional times during which we modify their positions and equipment to better suit the rider that they have become. If you haven't been in the studio in a while, do yourself a favor and call 480-699-5358 and set an appointment with one of our cycling analysis professionals.

We hope the above helped answer some of your questions about why you may need a bike fit. If you are ready to book your appointment, please call 480-699-5358, and we will get you on the schedule!

Thanks once again for considering Cyclologic. We appreciate that consideration, and look forward to earning your business.
